Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine

Healing the larger structure that holds your human experience

Most of us have been taught to think of the soul as something small and invisible that lives somewhere inside the physical body.

Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine begins with a very different understanding:

Your soul does not simply live inside your body. Your physical body exists within a much larger soul structure.

This structure surrounds, permeates, and interacts with your physical body. It carries the energetic imprint of your experiences and helps support the expression of your spirit throughout your human life.

Just as the physical body contains organs, systems, pathways, and functions, the soul structure is understood to have an anatomy of its own. When parts of that anatomy become burdened, displaced, depleted, or disconnected, you may experience the effects without necessarily knowing where they are coming from.

Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine provides a detailed map through which that larger structure can be cleared, aligned, strengthened, and restored.

What is Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine?

Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine, also known as SAEM, is a structured form of energy work founded by Desda Zuckerman.

Desda has described having the ability to perceive energy structures extending far beyond the physical body. Through years of observation and practice, she recognized that people appeared to share a common energetic anatomy, just as humans share many of the same physical organs and systems.

She began identifying the different parts of that structure, observing how they functioned and developing methods for working with areas that appeared burdened, damaged, depleted, or out of alignment.

She then transformed those observations into a systemized and teachable modality. Practitioners are trained in specific clearings, alignments, and procedures that can be repeated without requiring them to visually perceive the anatomy in the same way she does.

This is one of the aspects of Sacred Anatomy that I find most compelling. It takes something vast and difficult to define—the energetic structure of the soul—and provides a detailed framework through which it can be approached.

What is the soul structure?

Within Sacred Anatomy, the soul structure is understood as the larger energetic framework that surrounds and permeates the physical body.

Rather than the soul existing somewhere inside you, this modality teaches that your physical body exists within your soul structure. Your body, emotions, mind, energy, and spirit function together as one interconnected being.

Like the physical body, the soul structure has an organized anatomy made up of different systems, each with its own role. Sacred Anatomy currently works with seven primary systems, including the chakras, energetic layers, Harmonizing Network, Electromagnetic System, Bones of Light, and Elimination System.

These systems are not separate from one another. They continually interact, and a disruption in one area may affect other parts of the structure.

The soul structure is also responsive. It may expand, contract, strengthen, or become burdened in response to your environment, relationships, emotions, and life experiences. Sacred Anatomy provides a map through which these different systems can be assessed, cleared, aligned, and restored.

How do life experiences affect the soul structure?

Difficult experiences do not only leave an impression on the conscious mind.

Grief, fear, trauma, prolonged stress, limiting beliefs, difficult relationships, social conditioning, unresolved emotions, environmental influences, and repeating patterns may also affect the energetic structure through which those experiences are processed.

Over time, energy may accumulate, become stagnant, shift out of alignment, or interfere with the healthy functioning of a particular system.

You may feel this as:

  • A repeating emotional pattern you understand but cannot seem to release

  • A fear that feels older or larger than the present situation

  • Difficulty maintaining clear energetic boundaries

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or your purpose

  • A persistent sense of heaviness or depletion

  • The feeling that something within you is “off,” even when you cannot identify why

  • Repeatedly returning to the same relationship dynamics or internal stories

  • Feeling as though previous healing work helped, but did not reach every layer

Sacred Anatomy gives us a map through which we can ask where a pattern is held, which systems have been affected, and what kind of work the structure is ready to receive.

How does healing happen in the Soul Structure?

Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine uses three primary forms of healing work:

Clearings

A clearing removes accumulated, stagnant, or disruptive energy from a particular area of the soul structure.

This may include energetic material associated with grief, fear, old identities, limiting stories, difficult experiences, relationships, or patterns that are no longer supporting your growth.

Clearing the energy does not erase your history. It helps reduce the energetic burden that history may still be placing on your system.

Alignments

An alignment works with parts of the anatomy that have shifted away from their healthier position or relationship with the rest of the structure.

When something is energetically out of alignment, you may feel disoriented, disconnected, restricted, or unable to access your full energy even when you cannot consciously explain what is wrong.

An alignment helps return the affected structure to a more coherent and functional state.

Procedures
A procedure is a specific energetic protocol used to repair, strengthen, restore, or support a particular aspect of the anatomy.

Rather than generally sending energy to an area, a procedure follows a sequence of intentional steps associated with that structure and its function.

Procedures are one of the qualities that make Sacred Anatomy so distinct. The work is not only concerned with removing unwanted energy. It also addresses what may have been weakened, displaced, or affected by that energy.

What happens during a session?

Sacred Anatomy sessions may be conducted in person or remotely.

At the beginning of the session, we briefly discuss what you are experiencing and whether there is a particular pattern, concern, or intention you would like to bring to the work.

A thoughtform of your energy structure is then created. You can think of this as an energetic representation through which the Sacred Anatomy can be assessed and worked with.

Using the dowsing rod and the Sacred Anatomy protocols, I conduct an initial assessment of the structure. This is similar in principle to scanning the different systems to determine where work is being requested.

From there, I dowse for the appropriate clearings, alignments, and procedures.

A typical session may include approximately two to five distinct pieces of work, depending on their depth and complexity. Some procedures are completed relatively quickly, while others require more time, reflection, or integration.

Universal energies may also be incorporated to support the process.

I sometimes describe these energies as being similar to nutrients for the soul structure. Just as the physical body relies on different nutrients to support different functions, Sacred Anatomy uses particular energetic frequencies to strengthen or restore aspects of the system.

Although Sacred Anatomy sessions are often deeply relaxing, the work is not always entirely passive. Some protocols may invite brief self-reflection or conscious participation, particularly when an energetic pattern is connected with a belief, identity, emotional attachment, or unresolved understanding. I may ask you to reflect on a question, recognize how a pattern has served you, or consciously name what you are ready to release. This is not about blame; it is about supporting healing through both energetic work and your own awareness.

At the end of the session, I reassess the relevant structures to determine whether the work has been received and whether anything further is needed.

What does a SAEM Session feel like?

Every person experiences the work differently, and each session may feel different from the one before it.

You may experience:

  • Deep relaxation

  • Warmth, tingling, movement, or spaciousness

  • A feeling of energy shifting through or around the body

  • Emotional release

  • Memories or insights rising into awareness

  • A clearer understanding of a pattern

  • A sense of expansion beyond the physical body

  • Feeling lighter, brighter, or more internally organized

  • A calm or “blissed out” state

  • Very subtle sensations or no obvious sensation at all

Some people appear visibly brighter or more relaxed after a session. Others experience the change more quietly over the following days as their awareness, emotional responses, or relationship with a particular issue begins to shift.

As you receive more sessions, you may also become increasingly aware of your own soul structure.

What initially felt abstract may become experiential. You may begin to sense your energetic boundaries, recognize when a part of your structure feels compressed or depleted, and develop a more direct relationship with the larger being that you are.

Not feeling energy strongly does not mean the session was unsuccessful. Sensitivity develops differently for each person.

What can Sacred Anatomy support?

Sacred Anatomy may be helpful when you are working with:

Repeating patterns

You may recognize a pattern intellectually and still feel unable to change it. SAEM allows us to explore where that pattern may be held within the energetic structure and which systems have been affected by it.

Longstanding fears and emotional loops

Some fears seem disproportionate to the present moment or have followed a person for much of their life. Sacred Anatomy provides a map through which the energetic components of the pattern can be approached.

Energetic boundaries

Because the modality understands your boundary as extending beyond the physical body, it can help you develop greater awareness of where your energy ends, how it responds to other people, and what your structure needs in order to feel supported.

Feeling depleted, compressed, or disconnected

Clearings and alignments may help when you feel less like yourself, unable to access your energy, or disconnected from your natural sense of expansion.

Integration after difficult experiences

A difficult experience may have been processed mentally or emotionally while still leaving an energetic imprint. Sacred Anatomy offers another layer through which integration can occur.

Deeper and more targeted healing work

If you have already participated in therapy, spiritual work, somatic practices, Reiki, sound healing, or other forms of personal development but sense that something remains unresolved, SAEM may provide a more detailed way of approaching the energetic structure involved.

Greater connection with purpose

As the soul structure becomes clearer and more coherent, some people experience a stronger relationship with themselves, their direction, and the way they want to move through life.

The precision of Sacred Anatomy

One of the reasons I value this work is its specificity.

Within many forms of energy healing, a practitioner may recognize that a chakra needs support and direct general healing energy toward it.

Sacred Anatomy approaches a chakra as a multidimensional structure.

It may assess:

  • Energy entering the chakra

  • Energy leaving the chakra

  • The relationship between one chakra and another

  • The connection between the chakra and the physical body

  • The way the chakra interacts with other systems

  • Whether the structure requires clearing, alignment, strengthening, or repair

The same degree of specificity may be applied throughout the rest of the anatomy.

This does not mean every pattern disappears immediately. A concern may be held in several places, involve multiple systems, or unfold across several layers of understanding.

What the modality provides is a map.

Instead of only knowing that something feels blocked, we have a structured way to ask where the disruption is held and what the system is ready to receive.

An honest word about expectations

Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine does not guarantee that a longstanding concern will be completely resolved in one session.

A pattern may have emotional, mental, physical, relational, spiritual, and energetic dimensions. Energy work can support one or several of those dimensions, but it does not replace every other form of care or personal responsibility.

Sometimes a session produces an immediate and obvious shift. At other times, one component of a larger pattern is cleared, allowing the next layer to become visible.

You may leave feeling dramatically lighter and more spacious. You may receive a clear realization about something you have carried for years. You may also experience a quieter process that becomes apparent only after you notice that you are responding differently to a familiar situation.

The work unfolds according to your system’s readiness.

More is not always better, and deeper is not always appropriate. The goal is not to force the anatomy into change but to support it in returning to greater coherence at a pace it can receive.

My training and relationship with Sacred Anatomy

Before finding Sacred Anatomy, I had already been practicing Reiki and Biofield Tuning.

Both modalities were valuable and remain important parts of my work, but I repeatedly sensed that there were deeper structures I did not yet know how to access. I could feel that something more was present beneath the patterns I was encountering, but I did not have a precise map through which to reach it.

Sacred Anatomy appeared through a series of conversations and connections, and I felt strongly drawn to follow it.

As I began studying the modality, the work felt surprisingly natural. It was less like encountering something completely foreign and more like developing a language for a structure I had already sensed.

What affected me most was its precision.

I was able to begin addressing particular patterns within my own structure that I had understood for a long time but had not been able to fully move through with other forms of healing. Over time, I felt lighter, more expanded, and clearer in the way I moved through the world.

The changes did not feel like a temporary spiritual high. They felt increasingly integrated.

I also value that Sacred Anatomy becomes experiential. Even when a practitioner does not visually perceive the structure, they may begin to feel its systems, relationships, and responses more directly through continued practice.

The anatomy stops being only a concept. It becomes something with which you form a living relationship.

How many session will I need?

There is no universal number of Sacred Anatomy sessions that everyone needs.

The anatomy is extensive, and there is always more that could potentially be explored.

That does not mean you must receive sessions continuously or commit to an indefinite healing process.

You can think of the work more like tending a garden than completing a fixed treatment plan.

Some people schedule a session when they are experiencing a specific issue or transition. Others receive them periodically as a form of energetic maintenance and deeper self-exploration. During especially demanding periods, more frequent support may feel appropriate.

Early sessions may establish foundational changes and introduce your system to the work. As your relationship with the anatomy develops, later sessions may address deeper or more complex structures.

You are always free to decide whether and when another session feels supportive.

Is Sacred Anatomy right for me?

Sacred Anatomy may be a good fit when you:

  • Have a repeating pattern that other approaches have not fully shifted

  • Want energy work that is structured, detailed, and precise

  • Feel that a concern exists across more than one level of your being

  • Are interested in developing awareness of your energetic boundaries

  • Have already done significant healing work and feel ready to explore another layer

  • Want a modality that combines energetic work with occasional self-reflection

  • Are open to understanding yourself as more than the physical body

  • Feel drawn to working with the soul through a map of systems and structures

It may not be the best fit when you want a medical diagnosis, a guaranteed cure, a predetermined result, or a completely passive experience that never asks for conscious participation.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to understand the seven systems before booking?

No. You do not need prior knowledge of the anatomy. I assess the structure and explain the relevant work during or after the session.

Do I have to believe in the soul structure?

You do not have to hold a fixed belief about it. You only need enough openness to explore the modality and notice your own experience.

Can the session be performed remotely?

Yes. Sacred Anatomy sessions may be conducted in person or remotely. Remote sessions use a thoughtform as an energetic representation of your structure.

Can I request work on a specific issue?

You may bring a clear concern or intention to the session. I will include it in the assessment, while allowing the dowsing process to determine which aspects of the anatomy are ready to be addressed.

Why might self-reflection be required?

Certain patterns are connected with conscious beliefs, choices, identities, or attachments. Awareness may help complete the energetic process and support a more integrated change.

Will I know exactly what was done?

I will explain the primary clearings, alignments, procedures, and systems addressed. Some aspects of the work may be easier to understand experientially than intellectually.

How will I feel afterward?

Many people report feeling relaxed, lighter, clearer, more spacious, or more energetically present. Experiences vary, and no particular sensation or result can be guaranteed.
